King of the Hill

Cooper didn't mind all the laziness of the weekend as long as he found a perch to watch everyone from. He definitely was a climber but we didnt' let him go too far up.

Camping Trip May Long

Sorry i haven't updated the site more often, i think it is almost time for a new computer.

We took Cooper and Riley on their first camping trip, even though the humans were cold and wet the dogs didn't mind a bit. They had fun exploring and walking around or just relaxing by the fire.

What a handsome boy!

All i have to say is "Look at that face" He doesnt' like the camera too much, and he rarely sits still enough to get a good one, but i was lucky this time.

Visit with work friends

Our work friend Richard wanted to come over for a visit with his son Matthew. Rich has always wanted a Berner.
Cooper, Rich and Matthew played outside in our backyard.

Cooper spent most of his time playing with Patrick. They seemed to get along quite well following Patrick where ever he went even sitting outside the bathroom when he was in there. After a long day of playing and visiting with family, mom and Cooper decide to stay on the couch and watch some T.V.

Visit with the Posterski Family

On the weekend, Scott's mom, dad, aunt, uncle and cousin's came over to see the new additon. Cooper got a basket of toys and a few doggie towels. I think his favorite is the rainbow rope toy.

Cooper AKA. Monkey

He loves to cuddle with Daddy. Cooper is growing very fast! Scott and I have been calling him Monkey b/c he is such a talker.
He coos alittle bit when he shifts position when he is sleeping.
Cooper is catching on very quickly that he does his business outside. We have had a few accidents but for the most part he sleeps through the night and when i wake up he is waiting for me to let him out. He responds to his name and we have given him a word command that we use when he goes to the bathroom. So when we say it, he knows what we want him to do.

First Trip to the vet

Cooper has grown so much since we got him. Cathy told us he was 13lbs 2oz when we took him home. On his first visit to the vet just two days after he had put on 1lb and 4oz. "He is wonderfully beautiful and curious puppy" says Dr. Grise. She gave us the thumbs up, he was healthy and happy spending almost an hour at the office playing with everyone there. In turn everyone working that day wanted their chance to play with him. He was a true shining star, he has no fear and loves everyone he meets. Our house has been very busy lately with numerous friends and family dropping by to see our new addition. Auntie Tracy has spoiled him with so many toys and countless visits. I can't say enough of how much Auntie Tracy loves him.

Hemmingway --> Cooper

When Cathy told us that we were getting Hemmingway we knew from the beginning that he picked us. Scott and I recalled from each of our visits, picking up hemmingway first b/c he was always the first one to jump up. Then when we decided we wanted to cuddle with another puppy we would put him down, find another puppy to pick up and end up getting hemmingway again. He always had so much energy, when his brothers and sisters were tired from the visit he was always the one still going.

The Happy News

We first visited the puppies and Bonny a week after they were born. When we first met them they were so tiny fitting nicely in both of my hands. We took one look at them and knew the wait was well worth it, and in 8 weeks we would take one of the precious ones home with us.

At the Beginning!

Scott and I have been waiting for a puppy from Catherine's wonderiful Berners for almost 2 years. We first visited Cathy at the Tradex Show in October 2005 where we both met her georgeous Berners Jaxon and Baron. When i turned to Scott i knew he really wanted one. We have been both talking for years about getting one and that the Berner was our favorite breed. We love the characteristics of a Berner; regal, intelligence, temperment and personality. When we heard that Bonny was having pups we were estatic. Anticipating the news from Cathy, if we were getting a puppy from this litter. Then the email arrived at work that Bonny had 13 puppies, i literally shot up from my desk and told everyone in earshot of the happy news.
